MAF (Magnetic-Field Assisted Finishing)
3DFoundri, Inc. is an East Lansing, Michigan, start-up dedicated to developing advanced metal manufacturing technologies that will enable cost reductions and increase part complexities. The initial product is a Magnetic-Field Assist Finishing (MAF) slurry that, when combined with a CNC Platform, allows mold manufacturers to reduce their manufacturing costs by at least 20% per mold by eliminating labor in polishing for Class A cosmetic parts. It will also reduce mold manufacturing time by 30%, reducing the lead time for their customers.
3D Metal Printing
We are also working on an advanced 3D metal printing technology that will be announced in 2022. It will provide complex 3D metal parts over 10X faster than conventional printing technologies, with mechanical properties near that of forged-like metal.
